Tutsi Sisal Med Basket From Rwanda | 8.5" x 9"

Handwoven by women in Rwanda, each basket is a piece of art containing a very intricate weaving from Sisal and local Sweet Grass. Each basket takes several days or weeks to complete. This is a beige basket with pink designs. The shape is a bulging cylinder with a flared opening at the top. Photos here show the courtyard in the village in Rwanda where we go to buy these baskets, direct from the cooperative of women who make them. In the photos you can see the raw materials, the sisal, the women use to weave these extraordinary baskets. This basket measures 8 1/2" deep x 9" diameter at the top
